From the President

Greetings:

On behalf of the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island Chief Petty Officers’ Association — Welcome! It is my honor to serve as the CPOA President.

I, along with the Executive Committee and all committee chairmen, invite you to be an active member of the CPOA.  We also encourage you to visit our website often.  It was created as a forum for all Whidbey Chiefs to communicate, whether at home or abroad.

The Chief Petty Officers’ Association is open to all Chiefs aboard NAS Whidbey Island.  We maintain an advisory group for all matters relating to our club, and host several events throughout the year, including the CPO Birthday Ball.  We share a common vision with our retired brothers and sisters and support all RCPOA events.  We are also active in our community and offer scholarships to deserving high school students.

Whidbey Island Chiefs are assigned to staff, aviation squadrons, training, fleet readiness, intelligence, and support commands.  Our strength transpires in our camaraderie, our diverse talents, and our absolute commitment to Team Whidbey.

Our club is one of the few remaining Chiefs’ Clubs to offer a lounge, restaurant, and ballroom.  Since 1942, we exist thanks to the continued support of Chief Petty Officers, active and retired.

Our CPO Club Lounge is a private, dues-paying membership area.  We are 998 members strong!   We host weekly events and enjoy several benefits of membership.   On any given day, Chiefs can be found here enjoying lunch and great conversation with fellow CPOs.

I look forward to meeting you, and welcome your suggestions and comments.  Please contact me at (360) 257-3506, DSN 820-3506, or diana.hutchins@navy.mil

Respectfully,

Diana Hutchins, YNC(AW)

President, CPOA
